A Call to preserve and enhance the impact of the Body of Work of Godfrey Reggio
This is more than preservation—it is a continuation of the dialogue he began. His work is more than film; it is an immersive meditation on the human condition, a recognition within self and our interconnectedness. Join us in shaping the future of his vision.

For over four decades, Godfrey Reggio’s cinematic vision—spanning the Qatsi Trilogy (Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi, Naqoyqatsi), Anima Mundi, Evidence, Visitors, and Once Within A Time—has profoundly influenced people worldwide. An urgent call to collaborative action.
Now, the GODFREY REGGIO FOUNDATION embarks on a vital mission:
To preserve, archive, and re-present Reggio’s cinematic and philosophical legacy, written and spoken word.
To organize the vast archive of his writings and recordings.
To make public previously unseen materials including raw footage, writing and drawings.
To leverage immersive technologies that allow a new generation to experience his teachings beyond the films in a dynamic, interactive way.
Ensuring accessibility for scholars, artists, and visionaries with expert database systems following within a timeline of Godfrey’s life.
Much of Reggio’s material resides in the Harvard Film Archives, Houghton Library, and the Foundation itself; a vast mountain of materials needing to be listed, organized, edited, and put into accessible useful formats. Not just as an historical timeline but as a living, breathing additional body of work so his ideas can be easily accessed.
Enhance, expand, take other work he’s already done and draw out its profoundness to further action. To make it clearer and more possible for people to act.
